Három nap alatt a Föld körül a GTTP-vel

Ismét a mi iskolánkat érte a megtiszteltetés, hogy Dubai és Madrid után 2025. november 23–25. között nemzetközi eseményen képviselje Magyarországot és városunkat, Sárvárt. Iskolánk két diákja, Baranyai Máté és Büki Bence vehetett részt a GTTP által szervezett nemzetközi diákkonferencián a görög fővárosban, Athénban. Az idei rendezvény központi témája az volt, hogy a technológia miként alakítja át az utazást és a turizmust. A magyarországi döntőt megnyerve Máté és Bence kivívták a lehetőséget, hogy nemzetközi szinten is bemutassák projektjüket és kutatásukat. A konferencián a világ négy kontinenséről tizenegy ország vett részt: Brazília, Dél-afrikai Köztársaság, Egyesült Királyság, Franciaország, Hongkong, India, Jamaica, Kanada, Magyarország, Nepál és Omán.

A program vasárnap este köszöntővel, ajándékok átadásával és ismerkedéssel indult. Hétfő délelőtt hat ország mutatta be projektjét angol nyelven, majd ebéd után közös városnézés következett. Elsőként a Panathinaikó Stadiont, majd az ikonikus Akropoliszt és a Parthenónt tekintettük meg. A város fölé magasodó ókori erőd látványa igazi időutazásélményt adott, különösen a meleg tavaszias időben. Ezután idegenvezetéssel átsétáltunk a hangulatos, szűk utcáiról ismert Plaka negyeden, majd megnéztük a Parlament előtti díszőrséget. A Monastiraki tér környéki nyüzsgő bolhapiacon apró ajándékokat vásároltunk. Végül egy jó hangulatú közös vacsorával zártuk az estét egy tradicionális görög étteremben.

Kedden délelőtt karriertörténeteket hallhattunk három kiemelkedő szakembertől: a Hotel Grande Bretagne, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Athens front office vezetőjétől, az Amadeus ügyvezetőjétől és a Red Carnation Hotels lánc igazgatójától. Előadásaikból betekintést kaptunk munkájukba, az útba, amit pályájuk során bejártak. Rávilágítottak arra, hogy mennyi lehetőség rejlik az utazás és turizmus világában. Délután a fennmaradó öt ország diákjai prezentálták projektjeiket a technológia szerepéről a turizmus jövőjében. Este pedig következett a konferencia záró eseménye.

A gálavacsorát az elegáns King George, a Luxury Collection Hotel***** Athens biztosította. Az este során a diákok kreatív produkciók keretében görög isteneket mutattak be, majd minden ország rövid kulturális bemutatót tartott. Az este végén minden résztvevő ünnepélyes keretek között vehette át az oklevelét.

A GTTP immár 28 éve rendezi meg ezeket a nemzetközi találkozókat, amelyek valóban felejthetetlen élményt nyújtanak. Három nap alatt olyan érzésünk volt, mintha körbe utaztuk volna a Földet: tíz ország kultúrájával, gondolkodásmódjával és turisztikai szemléletével ismerkedhettünk meg, miközben szakmai és szabadidős programokon vettünk részt olyan fiatalokkal, akik szintén az utazás és turizmus világában képzelik el a jövőjüket.

Fantasztikus, és életre szóló élmény volt. Köszönjük a Globális Partnereknek és a GTTP-nek ezt a nagyszerű lehetőséget.

Around the world in three days with GTTP

After Dubai and Madrid, we were honoured to be able to travel to Athens between November 23 and 25, 2025. Two students from our school, Máté Baranyai and Bence Büki, represented Hungary and our town, Sárvár, at the international student conference organized by GTTP. The central theme of this year's event was how technology is transforming travel and tourism.

By winning the Hungarian final, Máté and Bence earned the opportunity to present their project and research at an international level. Eleven countries from four continents participated in the conference: Brazil, South Africa, the United Kingdom, France, Hong Kong, India, Jamaica, Canada, Hungary, Nepal, and Oman.

The program began on Sunday evening with a welcome speech, the presentation of gifts, and an opportunity to get to know each other. On Monday morning, six countries presented their projects in English, followed by a joint city tour after lunch. First, we visited the Panathinaiko Stadium, then the iconic Acropolis and the Parthenon. The sight of the ancient fortress towering over the city was a real journey through time, especially in the warm spring weather. Afterwards, we took a guided tour through the Plaka district, known for its charming narrow streets, and then watched the guard of honor in front of the Parliament. We bought small gifts at the bustling flea market around Monastiraki Square. Finally, we ended the evening with a pleasant dinner together at a traditional Greek restaurant.

On Tuesday morning, we listened to career stories from three outstanding professionals: the front office manager of Hotel Grande Bretagne, Luxury Collection Hotel, Athens, the managing director of Amadeus, and the director of the Red Carnation Hotels chain. Their presentations gave us an insight into their work and the paths they have taken in their careers. They highlighted the many opportunities that exist in the world of travel and tourism.

In the afternoon, students from the remaining five countries presented their projects on the role of technology in the future of tourism. In the evening, the closing event of the conference took place.

The gala dinner was hosted by the elegant King George, a Luxury Collection Hotel***** Athens. During the evening, the students presented Greek gods in creative performances, followed by a short cultural presentation by each country. At the end of the evening, all participants received their certificates in a festive ceremony.

The GTTP has been organizing these international meetings for 28 years now, and they truly are an unforgettable experience. In three days, we felt as if we had traveled around the world: we got to know the culture, mindset, and tourism approach of ten countries while participating in professional and leisure programs with young people who also envision their future in the world of travel and tourism.

It was a fantastic, once-in-a-lifetime experience. We would like to thank the Global Partners and GTTP for this wonderful opportunity.
